Our endorsements for North Shore councils
Voting is easier when you know what candidates stand for. After reviewing the field in the City of North Vancouver, the District of North Vancouver, and West Vancouver, we’re endorsing the candidates we believe will best advance these three values:
Belonging. Every neighbourhood should have room for the people who make a community work: teachers, nurses, first responders, retail workers, caregivers, young families, seniors downsizing, and people with disabilities.
Choice. Everyone deserves a real choice in how they get around. When driving is the only practical option, the teenager, the senior, and anyone who can’t afford a car are left behind. We want frequent transit, connected routes for people on wheels, and shops you can walk to.
Stewardship. Climate change is the defining challenge of our time, and we’re caretakers of the North Shore for the generations that follow. We owe it to our kids and grandkids to keep it livable.
If these values matter to you, here are the candidates we recommend for your ballot:
District of West Vancouver
We didn’t evaluate District of West Vancouver candidates. Our friends over at West Vancouver Positive Voices did and we recommend that you consider the following candidates based on their alignment with Postive Voices’s values.
